Huawei recently introduced its Harmony OS operating system. And the first device under its control was the HONOR Vision smart TV. However, according to Peter Gowden, the company's chief product manager, the system will soon appear on other devices and not only in China.

According to him, Harmony OS provides interaction between gadgets, while all other systems make them "isolated". Gowden also noted that Harmony OS is able to work "with all types of devices."

Although, at the same time, an employee of the company admitted that the OS is designed for future generations of electronics and, in particular, on the 5G network. But technically, it can be used now, and open sources will allow other manufacturers to release their gadgets based on Harmony OS.

Gowden noted that the first products based on Harmony OS outside of China could be smart watches and laptops. And although he did not specify the release dates, the concept of a universal OS is very intriguing. It remains to wait for the finished distribution to draw conclusions. Earlier, Huawei launched the official Ark compiler site for its Harmony OS system.
